THE (winter) RE | SET : a yoga + yoga nidra retreat
February 14 - 17, 2025
Retreat to the beautiful Catskills, NY for a long weekend of practice, connection and reflection with Taryn Burns. Known for her accessible and progressive programming, practices are thoughtfully designed to offset the heaviness and darkness of winter by inviting more space and circulation to your practice. In addition to experiencing this physical, mental and energetic reset while on retreat - students will be given the tools to sustain these practices when they return home.
// Daily programming :
Morning meditation / myofascial release: release physical tension through efficient myofascial release practices (Yoga Tune UP balls provided and will be yours to take home).
Alignment / Technique Labs: deepen your understanding of the function of a posture or technique and to personalize your practice with props / variations to meet your unique alignment and experience level.
Rest Hour: enjoy a beautiful winter hike on one of the on-property trails, experience state of the art spa treatments or simply rest.
Practice: apply what you’ve learned in the lab to move through your practice more efficiently and effectively.
Yoga Nidra: create a sankalpa (intention) and identify the best set-up (nest) for this deeply restorative guided meditation practice.

Energetic Significance - Menla is the source of the Pantherkill Stream, with numerous springs feeding it throughout the property. The main spring has long been held as an especially sacred spring, though not certain exactly why. What is clear is that Panther Mountain, which looks down upon the Menla valley, is a special mountain, with its circular reverse-crater shape, surrounded on all sides by flowing streams – a vortex of ley lines spanning a much larger geographic pattern characterized by natives as a Great Serpent formation.
Return to your day-to-day life feeling reset and with a practice plan in place to sustain you through the remaining winter months.
